Add background
Place a solid background behind a transparent stamp.
Add background places a solid colour card behind a transparent seal. Use it when light ink disappears on a dark PDF page, or when a portal rejects transparent PNGs.
Add background FAQ
Why add a background behind a transparent stamp?
Light or thin ink can vanish on dark pages. A white or cream card keeps the seal readable; some uploaders also reject transparency.
Can I choose the background colour?
Yes. Pick a solid colour that contrasts with your ink — white behind blue or red seals is the usual office choice.
Should documents use transparent or solid-backed stamps?
Prefer transparent for most PDFs and Word files. Use a solid background only when contrast or system limits require it.
Does Add background flatten my seal?
The download is a single PNG with the colour behind the ink. You can still resize it later in Stamp PDF.
Is this tool free?
Yes. Free, no signup, no watermark on the exported image.
